Getting references

Getting references, for the plasterer, from clients that have a similar project to you, is essential. We recommend that you ask for at least 3 references, and call them all.

What you need to know


• Were they easy to deal with? (have good attitude)



• What type of building was it?



• Was there anything difficult about the job?



• Did they do a reasonable job?



• Were they reliable?



• What was their follow up service like? (sanding, repairs etc)



• Were their payment terms reasonable?



• Did the owner work on the job?



• Did they use sub-contractors?



• If so did they supervise the sub-contractors quality?



• Did they start when they said they would?



• Did they use a 3 coat system?



• Did they use paper tape on the ceilings?



• Was the job completed on time?



• Would you recommend them for (your type of project)?
